Hugh Hefner loves beautiful women; hell, he’s dating three of them and they’re fine with being in a polygamous relationship. The man has created an empire that even the most prude celebrities feel comfortable getting naked for all while living every mans dream. There is no doubt in my mind that Hugh Hefner and Playboy are classy but when I heard Hef extended an offer to 15 year old Miley Cyrus to pose for the magazine once she was 18, I was a little bit disgusted.
I understand that Playboy showcases some of the hottest women, celebrities or not, in the world in its pages and that it’s not like other skin magazines where women are sometimes degraded but what right does Hefner have to put the idea of posing for Playboy in to a 15 year old girls head. Sure, Miley Cyrus is probably going to be pretty crisp when she’s older, because to be honest if I were a 13 year old boy I would probably be waking up stuck to my pajama bottoms after having a dream featuring her. However, this girl can’t even pose for Vanity Fair or say she likes to watch ‘Sex and the City’ without getting cut apart. I hardly think she needs the stress of deciding if she wants to pose for Playboy in three years when she’s old enough.
Sure some 15 year old want to pose for Playboy at that age, but they can be found on the Maury Povich show, not on the Disney channel or touring arenas all over the world. Everyone wants this girl to be a role model for kids but it seems almost impossible for her to do that when she’s already getting offers to take off her clothes. Yes, some racy pictures of her have ended up on the internet but that’s just her being an idiot teenage girl like every other stupid teenage girl.
If Cyrus does end up being interested Hef better hope she doesn’t go all Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan over the next couple of years. The last thing you want is some coked out, bipolar, washed up celebrity as your centerfold because you told them they could pose before they learned what a syringe was three years ago. I know Hef wants Playboy to be the first publication that crisp, young celebs bare all for but he needs to make sure not to jump the gun. Too much can happen too quickly in Hollywood. Honestly though, some people wake up addicted to cocaine and they’ve never even done it before, that’s how bad things can be.
Honestly, if I were Billy Ray Cyrus, I probably would have punched that dirty old bastard out. What makes it worse is that Hef is 82 years old, and while he has great taste in women both for the magazine and his personal life, no 82 year old guy should be offering a 15 year old girl the opportunity to get naked for millions of dollars. I think it may have been a little bit different if Miley Cyrus was almost 18 and Hef extended the invitation to do Playboy, it just seems less creepy. However, even after saying all this, I hope Miley Cyrus grows in to the hot girl she has the potential to be and gets naked in three years. That’s not illegal to say, is it?
