Snoop Dogg on Detox

Rockers have been waiting for ‘Chinese Democracy’ and hip-hop heads have been waiting on Dr. Dre’s ‘Detox’. After tracks from ‘Chinese Democracy’ leaked on the internet, Guns n’ Roses fans everywhere were finally assured that the album was on the way; however, rap fans were still in the dark waiting for Dre’s next masterpiece. Luckily for hip-hop fans, they too have confirmation that their long awaited album from the Dr. is on the way. In an interview Snoop Dogg revealed that he had been in the studio recording tracks for Dr. Dre’s album and also revealed that ‘Detox’ was finished and all that had to be done was choose the final track listing.

As a hip-hop fan, I am nothing short of stoked for this album and hope it comes out sometime in 2008. Dre’s 2001, which for some reason was released in 1999, is an album that is constantly on rotation in my car and on my iPod. The best part about Dre is that he always comes hard, no matter if it’s him rapping, producing or making a beat. I can’t think of a time where I’ve been disappointed with him. If you like rap or hip-hop, get excited because this album should be epic.

She’s Back

This is news to us but apparently Lindsay Lohan makes music. We remember seeing a video of hers once and we thought it was just a one off but apparently she’s getting ready to release her third album. Lohan and her label are calling in some of the music industries elite to try and make this album as successful as possible. Set to appear or contribute production to the album are Akon, Bloodshy & Avant, Ne-Yo, and Pharrell. The album is currently titled ‘Spirit in the Dark’ and it’s set to hit shelves in November…so you can pretty much rip that month out of your calendar because then maybe it will be like this album never existed.

How an actress that can’t act can start a singing career without being able to sing blows our mind. It’s like when Lindsay Lohan acts everyone goes blind and deaf and just assumes that she does a good job, and when she sings they just go deaf and assume she’s good at that too. It’s beyond us, and we will probably never understand how some completely talentless people get famous, oh well.
