Behind a forbidding unmarked door helps keep the weekend hordes away from this candlelit DJ dive. Small dark room of bead curtains and velvet cushions mocks the scene from a 1970s basement apartment. Hazy candlelight reflects against brown and gold wallpaper and wall mirrors, setting the mood for groups squeezing onto couches in the rear as well as duos canoodling at tables. Bartenders supply the booze--during happy hour and well into the witching hours--as well as the beats by bringing their turntablist friends to spin nighttime sets of rock.

Drinks are two-for-one between 6pm and 10pm every day.
