The Muse/Kung Fu Coffee is a multi-genre venue and a coffee bar. You like punk music? We've got punk music. You like hardcore?? We've got hardcore. You like indie music? We have indie music. You like metal? We've got metal. You like hip hop, electronica, industrial?? We've got all that too. Coffee? Think Cafe Coco but cheaper and a hell of a lot cooler. We put on all the hottest local shows and touring acts this side of the river. Weeknights we offer lots of different events. Monday we have an open mic called Soapbox at 9:30pm (free). It's pretty crazy; it's Accoustic music, spoken word poetry, beat-boxing, and people who like to bitch about how much they hate their job/life/wife etc. It costs nothing to perform or enter, its just free damnit. Door prizes for Soapbox include 1 free peircing for someone over 18, free dinner (thanks to the Night Owl Cafe) and a lot more. Thursday nights is DJ Kids Meal Night, specializing in Hip-Hop with a chosen Mic . Most of of our shows start at 7 p.m., are 5 bucks and all ages. If you're ever bored, come down to the Muse. There is always something going on here every night. Like what you hear? We have a streetteam that meets every Sunday at 6.pm. If you join the streetteam (to pass out flyers, promote shows, etc) you get into all 5 dollar shows for free, and shows that cost more than that you get 5 bucks off the door price. We have free food at meetings, we cover the cost of all the promotion, all you have to do is show up and hand out flyers. If you're interested come down Sunday nights at 6 o'clock.
