Appearance:
Straw yellow in color with a wonderful Brussels style lace.
Smell:
Spicy mix of European noble hops the are a bit herbal and lemony. Grain is in the background.
Taste:
Moderately-bodied with an exceptionally smooth and crisp mouth feel. Slightly assertive spicy bitterness leaves a tingling bitter trail with herbal and lemony notes. Light yet fresh grain hits the palate with a mild husky astringency which seems to dry this beer up in the finish.
Notes:
It all you want in a typical German Pilsner, I’d choose this one of any mass marketed beer of the same style any day of the week. Good drinking all around.
