Appearance:
Polished amber coloured liquid reminds of the core of a sweet potato. Creamy off white head, having a mostly fine bead. Good lacing of glass.
Smell:
Fresh, just brewed, aromatic malty nose, with just a hint of hop.
Taste:
Medium in body. Mouthfeel is of creamy malt with a gentle steely note from the hops pushing into the frame. Clean, perfectly balanced lager with a medium length crisp finish, having malt on the top, followed by a good dash of hop bitterness, and some dryness.
Notes:
A very harmonious and moreish lager with a deserved loyal following. For years the only brand from this Ontario microbrewery. Spring water used here. Brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. No preservatives. No pasteurization. No additives.
