A light tasting, smooth drinking lager...
Appearance:
Budweiser, "The King of Beers," supports a crystal clear light golden color with a greenish tinge around the edges. Well carbonated, the bright white foam with a fine bead clings to the sides of the glass and remains steadfast to the end.
Smell:
Notes of light sweet malt embrace the nostrils, followed by a fresh, clean just-brewed aroma. A hint of woodiness from the beechwood chips used in the brewing process surfaces late, just in time to be swept away by the first rush of beer to the lips.
Taste:
Sweetish malt starts here with trace amounts of hop bitterness lingering in the background. Light in body with gentle wisps of malt, it finishes easily and smoothly, clean and crisp with little aftertaste.
Notes:
This is a light tasting and smooth drinking lager, made so with the addition of rice. For years it has been the hallmark of American brewing. It's a beer that should be served cold.
